Noratus Cemetery

Noratus village is located on the bank of Gavaraget river in Gegharkunik district. This village is very famous for its cemetery which is the biggest cross-stones cemetery in the world. All the cemetery is covered with cross-stones the majority of them belonging to 13-17th centuries. Here smaller rectangular tombs may be found as well with cross-stones placed on top of them. There  were many famous and talented stone masters in Noratus like: Melikset, Nerses, Kiram and others.
