Not to miss this fall in Armenia

Believe it or not, living in Armenia gives you a real opportunity to discover new fall colours.

Due to the varied elevations of the mountains, you can experience one of the longest-running fall seasons in the world. The leaves begin to change colours in early September. So get yourself into leaf-peeper mode and enjoy these best places.

Autumn is favourite hiking season in Armenia. Days become cooler, nights become crisp, skies become brilliantly blue. Autumn’s air makes comfortable for hiking, camping, and tracking in Armenia. Fall leaf colour spread throughout Armenia, painting the land and mountains in yellow, orange and red.

Lastiver Cave

Lastiver is a wonderful Armenia destination at any time of year, but it’s colours really come alive in the fall. There are some great hiking routes that allow you to view the fall foliage while also getting some excellent calm. During your trip, you can try zip-line then enjoy thickets of the forests.

Dentropark

Sochut Dendropark is an expansive resort located in located near the Gyulagarak village, Lori Province, Armenia that is a perfect spot to relax and commune with nature. In the garden grows nearly 500 plant species. Trails are available for hiking and biking.

Jermuk

Jermuk town is home of mineral water. It is located in Vayots Dzor region in South-East of Armenia. Many people take advantage of mineral-water treatments. Jermuk is famous with a waterfall that is the second tallest waterfall in Armenia and the height of the waterfall is 70meters. It is filled with scenic beauty and a great view.

Sevan lake

Another picturesque place to visit in fall is Sevan Lake, which is a lake in eastern Armenia in Gegharkunik Region. It was called „blue Sevan“ due to its light blue colour. This wonder situates at the height of 1900 m above sea and surface area is about 940sq/km.

Yerevan Botanical Garden

In the autumntime, it seems that all of Armenia is in painting. One of the most beautiful places in the city is Yerevan Botanical Garden. It gives an opportunity for visitors to discover new decorative plants and wild herbs. Garden is home to 20 types of bushes and 100 species of herbaceous plants. Here are growing the representatives of Causcaus, Crimea, Sibir, Eastern Asia, Japan, Korea, Northern America, and Europe.
