Afterward, discover the spiritual and architectural treasures of Echmiatsin and Zvartnots in Armenia. Echmiatsin, the spiritual heart of the Armenian Apostolic Church, is home to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the world’s oldest cathedral. Just a short distance away lies Zvartnots, an ancient marvel of early medieval Armenian architecture. The ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, showcase the ingenuity of the builders of that era.
