Sevan
We will drive to Lake Sevan, one of the largest lakes in the world, known for its sweet and astonishingly blue water. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the lake and visit Sevanavank Monastery, located on the Sevan Peninsula. This site features two monasteries built around the 10th century, with one having been destroyed and the other still standing.
Dilijan
Next, we will head to Dilijan. Stroll along Sharamberyan Street, where you’ll find museums, souvenir markets, and small shops. Observe traditional wooden houses with tiled roofs and intricately carved balconies, typical of Dilijan.
Fioletovo Molokan’s House
Continue the tour to Fioletovo village, home to Molokan Russians. You’ll be hosted by a local family in a Molokan house, explore their garden, and participate in a traditional tea-drinking ceremony around a samovar, accompanied by freshly baked pastries or cookies.

Khor Virap
Take a trip to Khor Virap Monastery (4th-18th centuries). This monastery is notable for its history; Gregory the Illuminator, who introduced Christianity to Armenia, was imprisoned here for about 13 years. Enjoy the spectacular view of the sacred Mount Ararat, an immortal symbol of Armenia.
Noravank
Continue to Noravank, a 12th-century monastery located among stunning sheer rocks in a twisting gorge. This is the only monastery where you’ll find a unique sculpture of Father God.
Areni
On our way back, visit the village of Areni, an important center for wine production. You’ll have the opportunity to taste local wines.

Garni Temple
Take a trip to Garni. This Pagan Temple, built in the 1st century AD, is the only temple from Pagan times that has been preserved in Armenia. It was dedicated to Mihr, the god of cleanliness. The temple was destroyed by an earthquake in 1679 and restored in 1975.
Geghard Monastery
Continue to Geghard Monastery. Its name derives from the legendary lance used to pierce the body of Christ, which was kept here for centuries. The present monastery complex was built in the mid-13th century.
Symphony of Stones
Drive to the Symphony of Stones, near Garni. This stunning basalt rock formation, shaped by nature over centuries, resembles a natural orchestra of standing stones, giving it the name “Symphony of Stones.”

Ararat Brandy Factory
Visit the Ararat Brandy Factory, also known as the Yerevan Brandy Company. Established in 1887, it is renowned for producing high-quality Armenian brandy. The historic distillery offers insights into Armenian brandy production and its rich tradition.
Vernissage
Explore Vernissage, an open-air market in Yerevan. It features local artists, craftsmen, and vendors selling handmade crafts, traditional Armenian art, souvenirs, jewelry, carpets, ceramics, and other unique items.
Fruit Market “Gum”
Visit the Gum Market near the Tashir trading center. Open daily, this vibrant market offers fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, spices, dried fruits, cheeses, traditional Armenian bread (lavash), pickles, and more.

Ejmiatsin Cathedral – Zvartnots Cathedral
Start the excursion to the centuries-old monuments of Ejmiatsin and Zvartnots, both listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The Cathedral of Ejmiatsin, founded in 303, is the official residence of the Catholicos of Armenia and is a sacred site for the Armenian people, serving as the spiritual heart of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Continue to Zvartnots Temple, built in the 7th century by Nerses the Builder. Although only ruins remain, Zvartnots retains its mysterious charm.
